Paul Giannandrea, MD
Dr. Giannandrea has over 35 years of experience as a board-certified psychiatrist providing assessments and consultation to individuals, groups, and organizations. He also has lifetime board certification through the American Society of Addiction Medicine since 1991. As a Medical Care Ombudsman Consultant, he provided independent/expert reviews of cases’ medical facts to benefits administrators, employers, and various health care organizations.

Dr. Giannandrea has delivered presentations to varied audiences including the U.S. Navy, schools, universities, organizations, and associations. Topics included: Depression/Anxiety; Adolescent Mental Health; Behavioral and Substance Addictions
Paul is a U.S. Navy veteran, a Johns Hopkins University and University of Maryland School of Medicine graduate. His faculty experiences have included Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and the University of Maryland, Department of Psychiatry. He has worked in numerous healthcare organizations in clinical, supervisory, and consulting roles and served as a Medical Director of an internal EAP for seven years.
Dr. Giannandrea brings his professional knowledge and experience of human behavior, personality types, addiction, and organizational health to facilitate client awareness and workplace culture and well-being. Paul has served as a consultant with WorkLifeXcel for over 15 years.
